QUOTE : ----------------Please be reminded that it is not "entire" Gujarat that is supporting Modi. It is only 45% Gujarat voters that support him. The rest 55% are voting against him. So it is definitely not majority vote, but maybe majority seats. S please stand corrected. If Modi cannot get majority vote in his backyard then what would be the case in the rest of the country?-----------------
What do you think about Congress ?? The whole country rejected it still it is ruling !! Remember it is not in majority !!

I agree. We would need a 2 party system to prove who gets majority support. It would be an useless argument until then as we would have to depend on exit or other polls. The truth is that neither BJP or Congress has more than 40% national support. BJP even less maybe around 30%. But this is our constitutional system. Unless we change this the so called "majority" will rule.

in india even in parliament person who win get less that 35 % vote so do you want to say that all MPs sitting in parliament are rejected by majority

Thats possibly correct. Many MP's in UP have won with a 25-30% vote in tight 3-4 cornered races. So with 80 MP's from UP you can imagine the credibility.
