Manmohan Singh told lie in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha
1. Firstly he said Indo-Nuclear deal is a revolution for India. 2. Then said whole Parliament is with me and will make a consensus. 3. Then said if the Left rejects it, it can take back their support. 4. In this situation, he said entire UPA is with me. 5. After the Nuclear Panel formation, when discussion made, Laloo, Pawar, Paswan, Karunanidhi like leaders are also left. 6. When he met BJP leaders, he has a little bit hope, he can pass it in the parliament with voting. 7. After people knowing the deal through the channels, Tehelka exclusive on Gujarat riot, he rejected the voting in Parliament. 8. At last BJP was also against, when discussed Nuclear bill in Parliament. 9. The bitter truth (he never told others -- I think it is also a lie) is that he does not have support of main Congress leaders also.

If India conducts nuclear test, US withdraw from the deal. So be it. As long as we don't conduct test, we will get electricity.

India has also right to withdraw from the treaty if India national interests requires it to do so. This is not one way treaty. In case India conducts nuclear test, treaty will not be void automatically. USA president has take into consideration India security enviroment (i.e. hostile China and India). In case USA cancels the treaty, issues like fuel security has been addressed. India can buy fuel from other countries. The main issue here is to get green light from NSG. Once you get it, you can buy nuclear reactor and fuel from country of your choice and it does not have to be USA.

You are in a dream world, George, not Amrit Singh. NSG is not in the business of selling nukes to anybody. No country, not even the US, sells nukes to anyone else. If you meant supply of uranium, then Amrit Singh is right on the dot. The Indian effort is to ensure that the assurance of fuel supply from other countries that is incorporated in the 123 agreement, in case the US terminates the pact, is also built in the IAEA safeguards that it is currently negotiating. Go back and read on the issue some more before writing trash or replying to the trash that people like Nitish Kumar have written on this messageboard.

I should not be replying to such trash, but I will anyway. You read it and tell me where it mentions nukes, and you also name one country to which NSG has sold nukes. In fact, the entire BJP has been protesting in Parliment PRIMARILY BECAUSE THE 123 PACT DOES NOT MENTION NUKES OR NUKE TESTING!!!!!

patriotism is required but not more than humanism.... Why are we crying for the right to conduct test, when we dont have basic requirements like food, power, and shelter...Try to see contries like japan, korea and singapore who are concentrating on their infra development and economy than the defence sector....Try to give foor to poor than speak on these bigger issues like the nuke deal, and brahmos....
