Jai Hindu is same as Jai Hind. There is no difference in Hind and Hindu, because without Hindu, there is no Hindustan.

Yes. Hindu has originated from Indu, which means moon and also from Sindhu, which is name of a river. Actually when this word went to west, I mean Arab and muslim countries, they pronounced it as Hindu, because in their language this means 'Thief'. But we proudly adopted this word as being riginated from both Indu and Sindhu. Our real name is Arya. Any more question?

I have already written that this word was first used by Arab or muslim countries. This word is not found in old scriptures (say Rigved). There we find only 'Arya'. But now 'Hindu' has been accepted as synonyme for 'Arya'.

The word 'Hindu' is not the original term for those following it. The original word is 'Sanatana dharma'. Sanatana means Eternal (which has no beginning or end) and dharma means religion or nature of a particular activitiy.
In none of the Vedic scriptures, you will find the term 'Hindu'. Now, why it is called 'Sanatana'? Because our Vedic scriptures propound the eternal dharma of a living entity (jiva). The living entity keeps migrating in this material world from one type of body to another due to its karmic activities and reactions. But only in the human birth, it develops the consciousness to surrender unto the Supremely powerful Lord, who is sac-cid-ananda adi-purusa (Supreme Lord). This is the natural position of the jiva. But unfortunately, today maximum people do not know the real nature of this material world which is bound to have miseries. They blame one another for good and bad, but they forget the real aim of human life which is to love the Supreme Lord, because all the living entities are his part and parcels.
I am sure the teachings of Koran are on similar ground of what I have described above. ALthough the teachings of all religions are in harmony, the followers have failed to understand these teachings and therefore are fighting to impose their thoughts and beliefs on another.
Result? blasphemy of the other religion. What Muslims call as 'Allah', the sanatana dharmis call 'Bhagvan'. By offending Bhagvan, the muslims are offending Allah only. And by of

The problem is that the muslims think that the Supreme whom they call Allah, is known to only them and that the Hindua are unaware of this Supreme Lord. This is their misconception. If they open the Hindu scriptures .. what to speak of opening any other scripture, if they simply read Bhagvad Gita once, they will realise that the scripture speaks of the Supreme duty of every living antity of the Supreme surrender to the Supreme Lord. It gives information about birth, death, the material world, the spiritual world, and the unmanifested and localised conception of the Supreme Lord. In other words, it contains everything. It contains all teh teachings of Koran. But unfortunately, without diving deep into this knowlege of science of soul, they already conclude that Hinduism is nothing but a bunch of followers following something suprestitious.
But this is not their fault. It is the fault of Hindus. Because 90% od Hindus today do not themselves know the real gem of knowledge contained in their scriptures. So in that way, Muslims are more devoted to the Supreme Lord, and the real followers of Sanatana dharma.

Therefore if we respect our Supreme father, we must respect all of his names. Because He is unlimited, His names are also unlimited. To love one name and hate other is as good as hate Him itself.
