CALL ME PAKISTANI OR CHINESE OR COMMY BUT CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN ME HOW THIS DEAL IS GOING TO HELP INDIA? WHY INDIA NEED NUCLEAR ENERGY WHEN INDIA HAS SUFFICIENT NATURAL RESOURCES TO GENERATE ENERGY. WHY INDIA NEED TO HAVE NUCLEAR ENERGY WHEN DEVELOPED COUNTRIES LIKE UK ARE REVERTING BACK TO COAL BASED ENERGY PRODUCTION? I KNOW MOST OF THE REPLIES WILL COME FROM IT COOLIES WHO ARE SLAVES OF AMERICAN COMPANIES GIVING THEM PEANUTS AND MAKE THEM WORK FOR 20 HOURS. BUT I AM EXPECTING REPLY FROM INTELLIGENT READERS AND NOT FROM IT COOLIES.

This is going to help India. You say we have sufficient natural resources to generate energy then what about the power cuts we face day in and day out. Industires are affected in a big way due to this. Why is it that we still have villages without power in remote ares. How come our natural resources are not taking care of it. Moreover we depend on mother nature for most of our power. What happens when there is drought ? Be progressive man. Think about the future. This nuclear deal will take India hand in hand with USA towards development. How much ever you may compalin about US it is still the most developed nation in the world providing the best of amenities to its citizens and immigrants. Kick the communists. They have taken Bengal backwards for their personal goal. Dont let that happent to the nation atleast. Rise above your petty minded think and let India progress in all fronts.

India needs nuclear power desprately. Indian coal is inferior in quality (45% ash). Most large power stations in India are today running on imported coal from Australia etc. Oil is extremely costly. What then is the solution ? More over, nuclear power is clean. No smoke, no dust, no carbon dioxide. UK perhaps has plenty of high grade coal and therefore reverting back to coal. The situation differs from country to country. The nuke deal promises uninterrupted supply of nuclear fuel of which we are terribly short at present. In France, another developed country, 37% of the power generated is nuclear. Of course, we cannot agree to Hyde Act overseeing the operation of the deal.Calling the people working in IT "coolies" is not being generous. The "coolies" only are earning thousands of crores of foreign exchange, not you and me.I find your argument is loaded with emotion. When emotion is in, reason is out !

Who told you that nuclear energy will be pollution less. Rediation itself can kill whole of the world population. I think with this deal American invasion of India will be complete. As far as foreign exchange is concerned, we NRI send more forex to India then any IT Coolie earn or by forex generated by exports. I am not an emotional person. I am pure economist with major in chemistry later on did my International finance PG from UK. I am sure 99% of Indian including your PM does not know what is nuclear energy. As far as scarcity of energy in India concerned, you dont have infrastructure to develop energy. Dont blame on resources. You dont have power stations to generate energy from these reaources. What nuclear energy will do if you dont have infrastructure to use them. And wher you are going to install reactors. Just explain me. Come on USA does not mean success. Go and see there more than half are living in debts.

Andrew, You may be the 1st person to say India has enough natural resources. I dont know which India you are talking about. If you think we can and should develop energy from coal, first the coal is high pollutant, 2nd coal in India is cheap quality, 3rd it is it concentrated in parts of India. I respond to your question by asking other way round. If we have so much energy, why in this world were we trying to get oil / gas from Iran? And why didnt you shout then? And can you tell me what wil happen if we sign this deal? Why are you so against it? Do you think America should gift this to us? We have to pay a price, and we have to balance our needs. Why do you think by signing this deal we will become slaves of US. This is a bloody cold war mentality, which the politicians fed people like you to keep India in darkness. You may be a Chemistry major, or whatever, but your thoughts are really strange. If the Commies have so much problem with INdia-US, why dont they have issues with China-US collabrations in econominc front. These are intelligent people who unfortunately very closed mindset. They see everything from the same prism- US is BAD. As if China is good. As if joininig hands with Iran will give us billions. This is not 1980. There is no USSR. There is one super power- US. Another in the making- CHina. But one which will never allow us to take positions of strenght, for obvios reasons. Choice is simple- alas people like you have thoghts which are .. leave it

Supporting USA is the only sign of being MODERN and DEVELOPED than I am neither modern nor developed. Indians are traditionally naive to understand the ill designs of west so no wonder lot of you, mainly IT Coolies are supporting USA and Manmohan Singh. I am not commy and infact I am the biggest supporter of capitalism. For your information, just ask any knowledgeable person in Developed country like UK/FRANCE/GERMANY and they will tell you --- just keep away from US. US is evil.

Famous saying%u201D India can never be a Beacon Light to the World when it cannot light the streets of her capital. It can only endure but cannot supersede%u201D. Response to this saying is now on grasp it with both Hands. We are overestimated Growing nation we but factually not. Most parts of India are still pushed under intermittent Power deficiency. India is showing signs of development after it sunk ideological differences with the US. Let us march forward and give the Nation something, which is in wanting for over decades. Going back on this agreement with the US will be seen as a Paradox in Indian Governing system which is unhealthy not only for the current Government but also for future Rulers of India.God Bless India..
