It was BJP who brought the two countries close. You may remember our Jaswant Singh even bent his knees to go all out to get a chance to talk with Talbert, a Junior Secretary in the State Department.
The beginning of all these were of course BJP. And now, they have to oppose congress any way. But I feel the credit goes to BJP who brought us to a higher pedestal from where we could deal with any one on equal terms, almost.

But Pokharan I was at the time of indira. Deny that. We are not here to argue who is better. Given a chance, BJP would have come out with almost same Draft Agreement.

It would always be the same men who would go through writing the details. Be it BJP, be it Congress. Who was there from congress who went through the negotiations?
