No one from Shiv Sena will ever get punished...a few cops might lose their jobs if they did not have a godfather. Nor will any of the muslims who actually started the riots will ever be punished as well who miscalculated the extent of Hindu retaliation. Riots are sad but is best to heal those wounds rather than rake them up as riots are a two way street. They cannot be equated with terrorist bombing which is an assymetrical war against the country and not just a fight between communities.

Look I am all for justice for everyone - and muslims should get the same justice as Hindus- that is the foundation of a secular state. A riot unfortunately is an unproven situation. It is a fact that the Bombay riots were a result of some hot headed muslims killing Hindus and then Hindus retaliating. As a secularist - my belief is that muslims have not accepted secularism and consider their religion above interest of the country. This I feel is making everyone very upset with Muslim so even the other minorities like Christians and Sikhs usually join Hindus in discriminating against muslims. My suggestion is that if Muslims keep their religion private and not indulge in its public display of fanatic behaviour - muslims will be very safe in India and will prosper the way Shahrukh Khan , Kalam and Premji do. And not make Osama and Saddam their heroes.

Mr.Masood You understand what ails your community members well but you are still not ready for the drastic shakeup needed for the reformation, needed to modernise it. I remember reading on Rediff about the Owaisi family and how their venal corruption and criminal neglect of the social welfare of the populance of old Hyderabad had made them unpopular , leading to some CPM leaders making inroads into the hearts of the people there, threatning the political domination of the owaisi's.I remember reading a comment that ;with just one year left for the assembly elections in AP,they will surely indulge in some communal mischief; and lo you have Ms.Tasleema's visit as manna from heaven to recharge their political appeal; with their opponents(Tehreek -e- majlis)& other urdu dailies questioning the sincerity of their attack, as they had complete 30min before the police reached the Press club venue yet they could not harm her physically.I think its no surprise the sequeal of events thereafter; with its ally INC shamelessly allowing the filing of charges against Taslima. So tell me after analysing the behavior of the majlis MLAs,the newspaper writings in local urdu papers; the similiar threatning statements made by the majlis opponents in Hyd'bad -the Tehreek; and the behavior of the cong gov machinery, the alarming conspiracy of silence of the usual bleeding heart liberals for minority & freedom of speech workers can u expect sympathy for muslims in India

Honestly - I really don't care what MF Hussain draws - he is a free man to do it and he has hurt sentiments of only lunatics trying to ape the Taliban - and would not want you to condemn it anyway. I hold muslims responsible for increasing popularity of BJP and Shiv Sena because of the noise they made on Shah Bano case and Salman Rushdie's book. If muslims do not like the book - they should not read it - but they cannot take away the rights of the majority Hindus to live freely in their own country.
Look within, my friend. Its you who are in trouble and not the Hindus who really don't care what happens to you. They will react when they get upset so make sure you do not upset them. If muslims are uneducated as you say - then your leaders must teach them maths and english and not send them to third rate schools. C'mon - the Shiv Senas and RSS are a shame in the name of military training. They are good for nothing and can't even use the sword properly. Compare that with the solid training Al Qaeda is giving in their training camps. If you guys get provoked by a Taslima Nasreen and a cartoonist - may your god help you from destruction in future. A community made up of uneducated hot-heads in a modern world despite large numbers is in serious trouble. People are scared that if they allow you freedom - you will use that opportunity to forcibly convert people.
No one has time or sympathy for such people except for self styled champions of minority who only encourage fanatics. I am sorry but no one except yourself can help you. Forget the past riots - just make sure another one does not happen in future.
