It is not understood what exactly the UPA allies, particularly CPM, wants. Be it disinvestment, modernisation of airport through private participation, fixing PF interest rate keeping the market conditions, their only job is to oppose. At the same time, they have no concrete proposal also. While China modified its ideology in tune with global needs and made amazing progress, the marxists in India, it seems, want to make old ideology still more stringent. The pathetic condition of Kerala is a best example. The state survive with NRI and remittance from other states. No entreprenerus are willing to start any industry in the State. The Bandh, Hartal and the hooliganism of party followers have made the situation miserable. Only one exception I see in their camp is WB Chief Minister, Budhdev Bhattacharya. He also faces stiff opposition from within his cadre. It is time that the people should come openly and force them to change their ideology in tune with the needs of the time and participate in developmental process. If they cannot do this, at least don't make road blocks.

Yes, Mar Thoma.. But Kerala has the highest no. of strikes... the people seldom work (they work very hard when out of Kerala). It perhaps ahas the hiughest no. of political clashes and political murders... what you gain of 100% literacy when people are not 'educated' that they do not know what is good and what is bad for the country - How else the lefists come to power in kerala ? How these leftists support Madhani and collide with Muslim League ?.

Do u want US to dictate terms to us like they did in Iran case. dont forget what they did in case of cyrogenic engine, super computers etc. They sell F-16 and other weapons to Pakistan, align with osama, saddam and taliban to suit their selfish needs and have double standards. why did they support dictators like saddam and if they want democracy they should do it first in Saudi Arabia. They wont do it because it serves their selfish intrests.
India is the next super power. dont be a puppet of USA. If they want to sell anything to India they should stop selling weapons to Pakistan(like Russia)

1. US is no doubt is the major threat not only to India but the entire world. Americans think they have the first right to all resources of the world (Manmohan, where are you ?). The arrogance of US is peaking and only if another SuperPower emerges in the real sense, they may be contained. 2. India is definately emerging as a major power in the world. But to if it wants to be the SuperPower, it has to behave like a SuperPower. We don't have the guts to tame a tiny reckless nation like Bangaledh, who are waging proxy war againts India by supporting militant activities in the Northeast, let alone acting on Pakistan... SuperPower is not achieved by economic growth alone, it is a collective will power of the nation... Lets not overrate these petty politicians, who cannot take bold decisions in the interest of the country...

Agree with you Mar Thoma. Because of all the facilities and CPM rule,Kerala is in below state: Best health facilities: 5000 people infected with Chikungunya, Kalazaar, Tomato fever, rat fever etc. New born infants dying at govt. hospitals. State govt. has no clue what to do ? Highest per capita income: All the money coming from outside Kerala where Mallus have to do real work not like Govt employees in Kerala who while away their time No communal violence: Marad incident, Madani- one of the accused in bomb blasts is a ally of the communist parties. The CPM/CPI asks people for votes in the name of Afzal guru-parliament attack accused. Violence:- Local goons of the CPM rule the roost, making life difficult for ordinary people. CPM Leaders: Have opened counters at party offices to accept amounts(only 1crore and above accepted). They move around in Toyota corollas, Camry's, Mercedes and other expensive cars, stay in expensive hotels. Party itself has business interests worth more than 4000 crores. They call themselves the labourers party. What a farce ? Education: Brought legislation to block self financing colleges from proper functioning. Already money has been received from other state colleges by CPM so that student go to other states Court strictures: Supreme Court and High court equally questioning a) Whether a proper govt.exists in Kerala ? b) Calling the state of the roads as worse in the world? c) Pointing out politician/criminal/police nexus So please do not blindl

ya! Join the US and become and become a power like iraq, pakistan, afganistan and Saudi. In iraq they killed 6 lack people to make it a democracy.(great!) Where is Weapons of mass destruction? that Bush is a liar. discrimination - ask blacks of US.
We dont need to join US to become a Superpower. We dont need anyone to dictate terms to us.
US will countinue to be one of the powers of the world(not the sole s.power)along with India, Russia and China within next 20-30 years.

To Mar Thoma and other left(overs) The state of Kerala is econmically among the backward states of India. The rich people and affluent style comes from the "Gelf Monely". The credit for high literacy goes to the christian missionaries and their hard work. Compare industrialization in Kerala to Gujarat or Maharashtra or even neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Compare Agriculture in Kerala to Punjab or Haryana. What is the use of all the social advancements when it cannot bring about all round development in the state. Kerala is a good example of a state wearing a turban to decorate the head while having no pants

"Barking Dogs seldom bite"
The adage of "Barking dogs seldom bite" applies very well when it comes to the Left(over) parties. The PM has done well by daring them to withdraw support which he knows they can't. Its better for this confused lot to simply "Shut up! and support" and not "pretend" to be safeguarding national interest.

But brother, lets not compare these leftists with dogs... dogs are loyal to their master who feed them, whereas these leftists work for China while eating the salt of India. Dogs have ethics.
