RE:CPM's opposition to 123 Nuclear deal
by Venugopal Venkitakrishnan on Aug 13, 2007 04:31 PM

To Mar Thoma and other left(overs)
The state of Kerala is econmically among the backward states of India. The rich people and affluent style comes from the "Gelf Monely".
The credit for high literacy goes to the christian missionaries and their hard work. Compare industrialization in Kerala to Gujarat or Maharashtra or even neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Compare Agriculture in Kerala to Punjab or Haryana. What is the use of all the social advancements when it cannot bring about all round development in the state. Kerala is a good example of a state wearing a turban to decorate the head while having no pants
