Error of Judgment
by Jehan Mir on Aug 01, 2007 11:47 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

This only shows immaturity and poor judgment and complete lack of understanding of the internal milieu of the region on part of Obama.

That would be an all out attack on a sovereign nation and the last thing USA wants to do is to lose Pakistan as an ally in war against terror which was introduced by US and US intervention in Afghanistan.

If USA is so concerned about to and fro traffic across Afghan-Pakistan border, the better part of the valour would be to pull out 50,000 US troops from South Korea and put them to gaurd the border.

I don't know who Obama, as a Presidential Candidate is trying to please by making such irrational statement. This is certainly not a vote getting strategy.

Indiscriminate B-52 bombings of North Vietnam ,night after night for ten years produced no results ,except loss of some innocent civilians lives.

You won't understand this as you don't want to. Well maintain the silence and wait till the B2 bomber comes in action. Why the he$ll US should put their force on Pakistan afganistan border which will again cause some casualities in US forces. US must and will attack the pakistaani locations sooner or later. Also, what make you think that washington needs Pakistaan support now for war on terror. do you consider yourself an expert on american foreign affairs? Obama must have talked to 100s of experts before making such statement.

extra-judicial killings.

Everyone should listen to you . You are the

Muslims have killed far too many people all around the world. Forgot the Mughals? Ghauri? hindu kush slaughter? Kashmiri pandits (around 1 million), darfur? etc etc etc??? Human rights watch groups also talk about the excellent treatment of Non-muslims as well as muslim women in the holiest country for muslims (saudi arabia). No church, temple, synagogue is allowed there. People are been arrested and beaten for just wearing a cross or putting their religious symbols inside their HOUSE. Even then muslims demand rights in non muslim countries..build mosques in USA, europe, india etc...dont u have any shame?

Jehan, my friend common people of India and I am sure Pakistan too are concerned more about their day to day life. Large population of India would not wish innocient civilian life lost anywhere in the world including Pakistan. We do not wish anyone bombing you. India wishes an educated, liberal and prosporous pakistan.

no, we don't want any such thing.
From last 60 years, we had enough of this madness, and now we want this dirty neighbour to be buried with pi*gs.
Also, it must be bombed withut any delay.
Those who talk about human rights group, go and see what has happened to minority in Pakistan and Bangladesh and then speak.

Jehan Mir, are u a paki? If yes what are you doing on a Indian website? If your not a paki but an Indian, then why are you not supporting an attack on our enemy? Tell us clearly where your loyalty lies. If your loyalty is with pakistan, in that case you are free to go to that country.

Do you agree with the war in afganistan, war in iraq, war on terror? do u support our troups? Do you support the patriot act? In fact by saying that US should NOT go after terrorists in pakiland who have killed more than 3200 US troups, you show where your loyalty lies (its certainly not with the US). In fact you are not alone. Only 28% of American Muslims consider themselves American..others choose to be identified as Muslims.

Jehan Mir,
-It is not immaturity, but succint realization ! Either they can sit on the fence (like India) and see taliban regroup and NATO can face attacks or they can deal with the menace conclusively.
-Pak has a lot to lose too if US breaks away from PAK.
-More border troops from South Korea will not help as the problem is not troops: It is PAK's inaction in FATA.
-Is it not common knowledge on where the taliban is regrouping, al qaeda is getting protection and strength and NATO and American troops are getting hit and run incidents ?
-PAK has literally dragged its feet in the last 5 yrs and has proved to be unreliable.

Obama voted against Irag war ! He might actually have a better grip than you on what's happenning on the ground in FATA.
