According to history Alexander the great's soldiers' were in the Punjab province when he gave up conquering Asia & the world. So many soldiers were tired & weak to return.Stayed back& got married to locals...& that's why majority of Punjabi's are fair with light eyes for eg:Raj Kapoor with blue eyes etc....Cheers

Dear Rohit,
You are 100% right about Alexander's utter defeat at the hands of Puru (called Porus according to the Western historians) in the Battle of Vitasta (Jhelum).

Ganesh, u dont know history, Alexander was defeated and killed in the BATTLE, his body was shipped, but the greeks made a theory that he decided to go back by ship, in those days the warrriors rode by HORSES.

We dont have the proof, because unlike GREEKS who ran to ENGLAND after GREECE fell to invaders, our historians were killed and our universities burnt, hence we have to take the GREEK version as a version.

Tell me one thing, if ur in ARMY and if u tell ur captain that u will not fight because ur tired and home sick and want to go home and u will be allowed no. !!!

Alexander was beaten straight !!!

Infact this is even shown in the Hollywood Movie Alexander recently that Alexander himself said that was the toughest battle in his whole life, even though its shown in the movie that he won the battle with great difficult and loosing many men, I strongly doubt he would simply return back and died within few months on his way back after the battle with India. The problem with Indian history is, whatever the phirangis wrote, became our history which projects Indian as Conquered, Enslaved, Defeated lot. Andthe marxists did a great job at that.
