I do not understand why does everyone feel so proud when any military acheivement is highlighted.. We already have the nuclear missiles.. Look at the ammount of time and money which would have been wasted in developing this show piece missile.. Let me warn all so proud Indians that if India were to go on a full scale war with US or China all the army might is going to get washed out in a weeks time.. We can only flex our muscles over Pakistan because we have been taught to hate that nation.. Grow up people.. I dont think anyone would be interested in ruling a chaotic country like India.. There are far more important problems like social security to be addressed rather than feeding more n more money into the army..

In addition, I feel that defense is more of a psychological game, where the more you portray yourself as a stronger state the more you are respected or considered in any global decisions and the less susceptible you are to any foreign attacks. Ofcourse, as long as the world understand that these are for defending and not for offense.

If u even imagine our nation will get washed in war with US or china, u better get washed away from this country right now. Do you know how many thousands of people in this nation are employed because of this kind of programme, even I am one of them, this kind of programme gives bread, water, shelter and cloth to thousands of INDIANS and also protects our nation from enemy. Come out of ur blind imagination and thinking, if we donot show our power to world next day morning there will be war on nation. Why do u wear cloths and shoes, just for your body protection, why do you wear costly cloth material or only leather wears, why not u can wear a leaf or a paper around you and walk on the street even this will protect you. It is your responsibility to protect our nation from getting washed away from enemies, instead, your dreaming of these things. Pakistan is not our enemy, people like you think that "we are taught to hate that nation". You think pakistan is so silly in mil power, it has got all sorts of advanced weapons. We have to join hands with PAK and build a super power in Asia Pacific. Try to be passionate towards defense achievements.

Mr Yogi, I am yet to come across a pessimist as yourself.Your ideas about our military establishment is somewhat warped.Please check up your facts before you go public.As far as nation bashing is concerned, we are NOT taught to hate Pakistan or any other nation.I wonder where you received this education,I am very curious.As a country we are on the path to progress, and military expenditure is the price we have to pay for preserving this momentum.

U need to study concept of deterrence deeply. It is deterrence, mind of politicians and bravery of Indian Army, that we have protected Kargil without use of nuclear weapons and without crossing even LOC. If we dont build these things, india would be attacked instantly by china and pakistan. We r now even devweloping our capacity to detter china. Sucessful use of Agni III demostrate this.

U said in a war with US and China our army will get washed in weeks, So we should be like that for ever..?China defeated India in 1962, can they do same thing now. they will think twice before going to war with India because of our increase in military strength.
