Why ignore the gun seller?
by nara simha on Apr 18, 2007 07:43 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

My basic question is how this boy was able to buy the guns, new cartridges from some seller without questions asked.
The Root cause is that such a visibly depressed youth can buy the firearms & getaway! This as just aiting to happen.

Ban all purchases of firearms unless there is a strong justification & there will be no such virginia fallouts.

It's not exactly gun, but bullets. He must have fired some 90-100 rounds. You can buy gun for your protection, but you don't need 100 bullets. On top of that, 23 years old-English major who has no professional use of fire arms buys the arms with so many bullets and nobody even questions him. It is really outrageous.

Oye..Defenders of mera bharat Mahan.....
Haven't you heard of kidnappings and killings in Indian colleges during college elections?
Where do they get the guns / knives from?
Do you blame the gun / knife seller?
He who presses the trigger is the criminal not the seller! Common sense.

Do you remember the Madrid bombings in 2004?
The terrorists had used mobile phones to detonate, and the mobile phones were bought in anIndian shop in Spain. Who is the criminal? One who sold the mobile phone or one who used it to explode the bomb?

america is free country. citizens are not questioned unnecessarily. your mentality reeks on indians who have been slaves for 1000 years and have had no privileges, even that of a gun licence

Yeah Yeah, so u mean to say that freedom is about having guns? I think thats insecurity - definitely not a symptom of 'freedom'. Remember Richard - freedom is about living and leting live, not killing and dying as you Americans/Pro Americans might think.

Folks,
Do you really think so-called "Richard Branson", an american (wannabe?) will be reading & posting in Rediff.com? Wudn he be reading NY times or Wash post instead of Rediff?

There are few sadists around here, who just love to create ruckus and enjoi the following commotion and fight among ourselves.

Anyone speciafically posting anti-Indian comments are aliens who loves to see us fight. Please don give in. Whenevr you see these insane idiots post, it is best ignored or report abuse but don't take it to heart and start a fight!

Nara,
I would not accept your comment. While purchasing the weapons, he has given 3 types of Photo IDs. Also the seller has ran a security check about him in the Federal Web based system that tracks guys with prior convictions. So there is no error on the seller. I don't want to justify what is right or wrong. But just giving u the facts.

Dear Richard Branson,

This is the craziest argument I have ever heared. Ask parents and relative of victims, whether they would want this kind of freedom or an indian attitude (slavary, as you ridiculously prefer to call it).
Owing to this stupid idea of freedom, this kind of mishapes have happned in the US in past and will keep happening unless something is done in this direction.
