I don't understand all this hype when Americans lose their life. (with all respect to the indian professor who died, the point I am trying to make him here is something different) Is an American's life more precious than anyone else? Is it more precious than an Indian's, an asian's? They made a huge hype after the 9/11. Sure more than 4000 people lost their lives, but when people in other parts of the world die that is not big news. It is not a big news when 100s die in train accidents in India, in bomb blasts in Iraq and Afganistan, out of starvation in Africa and so on... But when few Americans or the British die, the world comes to a standstill.

Hi Shanoj,
You have a very valid point there. I guess it is the way the respective govts in asia, india react to the killings , i.e as if the killings are a normal thing.

everbody's life is important including American's. At this time when 32 lives are lost, this is not the topic to rise.

Dude, My point is not that I don't feel sad that these students lost their life, but that we don't take it that seriously when our people die. OK, more than 30 people died in this incident, but do you know many more die every day in Iraq or in Somalia? Do you show the same sympathy to them?

I am very sorry to say... YES.. We people do not care about our lives. Since we are more than a billion, we do not mind it at all. Every where innocent people are dying in India. We will speak for one or two days and we will forget the whole story & get diverted from that easily. There are many examples.. Recent one is about the Bomb blasts @ Mumbai.
We must know the value of the life of fellow Indian first

OK. Let me tell you, people like you are the real problem for India. And we blame the politicians? Just imagine if you become a politician. You will make another Hitler.

If what u said is TRUE...it is really very very good. let us learn something good from the otherwise not so good Americans. Wise men take good qualities from bad people too. Sudesh

In US and UK everyone having insurance. thats why doctors help them without thinking abt the money(whether patient can pay the bill or not).
For Enrolling your name in hospital you need to give your insurance detail.
Don't give false information.(Showing US is great)

In US and UK -they WILL treat you without asking for insurance details. Even illegal immigrants are given complete treatment without having any insurance.
The bill is sent later. Those who have insurance, the insurance company pay. Those that dont, are covered by charitable trusts - they never have to pay from their pockets.
