Two Thorium prototype reactors are already constructed and run succesfully. India is first, and only power, in world to master Thorium and Tritium technology. India's exclusive abilities in both Tritium and Thorium give it unique advantage in world. Deal with US is merely political instrument. US is the arrogant salesman: to appease the world of NSG they treat India without respect. What kind of salesman tries to insult the customer? US was initiator behind NSG and now they are victim of it themselves!! Backfire: they've cut their own sales opportunities to legitimate customer! While India has grown Indigenous and Independent through new tech and U-233, Uranium import is becoming less significant. Nuclear deal was an excuse India gave to US to become friends. India does not need it, it was only a sentiment. Apparently USA is still too immature to understand. Never mind, I believe USA & India have great destiny to reconciliate the bad times and establish new hope for humanity and world. Let us wish for the best and after so many years nation is still there, everyday is new hope for India. We are not afraid.

Pancha Tantra are good stories with great lessons and morals within. India is land of eternal principles and dharma. vasudhaiv kutumbkam(global family) is another standard of indian philosophy. But, a big but, India is not living by these high principles of ancient vedic wisdom. Today's India is shy of Yoga, and Dharma. it does not really follow through the teachings of dharmic way of life. its 'republic of India', that is Bharat.
Indians have this tendency of opening their loud mouth to criticise without offering any alternate. Mr Sureshkumar K, probably we will have to learn from you all about democracy! what do you mean by 'demo crazy'. would you and your likes go to afghanistan and get rid of marauders 'taliban'? would you and your likes dare to take on bloody communists-ideology that killed millions of people? would you and your likes go out and take care of meance we all know as islamic terrorism? would you and your likes come up with a strategy to provide this world with the leadership that prevents all nations fighting?

We have right to get U-233 like others in the world. Is there any problem with that? While civilian nuclear deal, there should not be any military talks. I love US like any other nation & I wish betterment of any nation. Any double standard talks should be avoided.

Yes you're right ofcourse, but there should always be plan B and C and D if Uranium imprt is unjustly denied by NSG. Sorry but ncreasing high value civilian assets, reactors and nation in general, really need military protection by Indian defence. Double standard is done by NSG since 70's who treat China as responsible nation while it is known proliferator, but sanction India (advanced nuclear weapons state since decades) while it is very responsible and has never proliferated.

In case of interest, prototype KAMINI reactor is up and running for over 10 years now. It consumes Thorium and creates surplus Uranium in return. India has the world's largest supply of Thorium. You can understand now how India can remain self-reliant even in face of Uranium denial by NSG apartheid regime.
