I visited kashmir as a tourist in the last week of march 2007. As a common man I can state that J&K still need support of the army. However, the locals are still being harassed by BSF & CRPF personnel NOT ARMY. The security personnel are rude and humliate the locals at the drop of a hat. As a tourist I didnt share a good experience even at the airport. And I have every reason to believe what the locals must be going thru. But yes regarding the withdrawl of troops per se it is cetainly not advisable.

My dear friend Vijay Bhatia...I too was humiliated by a soldier when I visited Vaishnu Devi temple...so should I also start to demand soldiers should be removed from vaishnu devi temple....we all know this will be sense less....as Vaishnu devi temple will be the first target of militants...

Soldiers are trained to have discipline and maintain those standards...hence we should not be surprised that a soldier humililates someone at the drop of a hat....to maintain peace locals have to bear to follow discipline standards...

soldiers and discipline??!! are you kidding. they are only taught to murder and get award for their bravery, even if the mudered person is a weak civilian. if you meet any soldier in train then you will know the real trauma of the kind of the soldier we have in our country. descipline only means to shout YES SIR for them. but when comes the time for respect for age, care for woman (of course not their own), love for child and mercy for weak they are most inhuman person i have ever seen. and while doing this they dont see any race, religion and region so you remember my words when you meet any soldier in your train journey. if you meet the complete bunch of them, then rest assured the joy of your whole journey is spoiled. you will feel difficulty even to come out of your compartment and fetch some water for your kid as the doors are blocked with thier big boxes. they do block even the passage inside the train and talk a little bit to them and you can receive any kind of assault from them. but you must not feel angry, after all they are the great protectors of our land.

you are not a good reader. where did mr. bhatia suggested to withdraw the troops. he is only poiting out on the illegal advantages of the situation and over misuse of their power given to them which they take to harrass the people. if they can do people from other part of india then think about the suffering of the local people.

border is nor secured because of those oppressing and harrassing personnel. i am for sure when the time comes these will be the first one to sell india and its secrets. remember the Lt. General Kapoor who sold indian map of army camps to pakistan for some petty amount of money.

Understood, terrorist those who are operating from foreign soil, come like ordinary people in order not to distinguish them from others, It is the duty of the security personnel to have some checkups!!! We shouldn't consider those checkups like oppression, understand you senseless golden animal!!!
You are the same person, blame the security personnel when terrorist attack people and demand more checkup in another forum!!!

hey goldy....u too seem to be a bad reader...I never said, Mr. Bhatia said to withdraw the army...My response was to the point mentioned by vijay bhatia that at the drop of hat, locals are humiliated....whereas my statement regarding withdrawing of army was not a response to any body's statement it was a general statement justifying non withdrawal of troops...

if you still think that you are not relating what i said then just msg onece more and i shall agree. any way i am not a good man in english, but i do understand upto some extent and what i understand is you are denying bhatia's demand of troop withdrawal. any way i dont want to argue... one thing i want to make clear to every one that every body gets freedome sooner or later. britishers could not hold us for the eternity and so shall happen to kashmir also. in fact azadi and freedom is the birth right for every human and this will come to every body sooner or later, whether pakistan oppressing baluchistan or india oppressing kashmir or any such thing happening any where. FREEDOM MUST COME TO EVERY COMMON MAN. if no body accepts the indian rule on them in kashmir, i dont see why there should be any indian rule in kashmir.

When we go by Air line, we need to bear the security checkup!!! I surely co-operate w/ security checkup for a safe journey!!! We shouldn't think security checkups as a headache!!! When some misap happens, we blame the same police, why they didn't check properly, why they allow this, that!!! We shouldn't blame the police or Army for doing their job, we should co-operate to not to blame them during misap!!!

security doesnt mean i shall be rude with you. and for your kind information no body oppose the security checkups, in fact no body can when there are 10 gunmen with AK47 are waiting for any chance to use them. rude behaviour, maltreatment and harrasing in the name of security measure is definitely a problem to the society. and leave the rapes and fake murders done by army and CRPF alone.
