Avoid US at all costs. Its aim is balkanisation of India, from support to punjab insurgency to north east to naxals and maoists to arming pakistan. It is also fianancing mass coversions of Indians to christianity to create future social strife.
Neither friendship is good with US, nor enmity. The best way is to keep it at an arm's lenght.

In the current world, US is also one of a good friend. That nobody can refuse by telling old stories.

Is Naxalism old story? They are killing dozens every week. Is LTTE old story? Both are supported by CIA through teh missionary network. US publicly stated in the UN that its aim is balkanisation of India as it considers the country an artificial state held together by the army. Do a bit of reading to understand the vision of US regarding South Asia.
