If SC/STs are very backward in this society it is bze they were kept supressed for centuries together by other castes. so, they need everything.
If so-called musilms feel they are backward socialy and econoically then they themselves are CORE and ONLY REASON for it.
Its their time to comeup and join the indian mainstream. Let them stop unwanted reproduction and start educating their kids with the right education.

What you mean by MainStream? What the heck is Mainstream? You all just repeat the words of BJP's spokepersons.....You think that Muslims, even if they have the money, don't send their children to English medium schools? YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Only children of poorest muslims go to Madrasas only when they don't have any other option. Madrasas are way better than Indian Government schools and nobody can deny that. What else is Mainstream? Should we change our names to sanskrit names? Okay, should we not go to Mosque and Dargahs so that we are in the same stream? Extremist and fundamentalists are there in every religion....and if you frustrate somebody, always see him with suspicious eye, then you are to blame if he/she chooses extremism I agree that you cannot clap with one hand. The Muslims in India has not been as receptive to growth and development as others, but IT IS ALSO A BIG TRUTH THAT THEY WERE NOT GIVEN ANY OPPURTUNITY TO GROW AND DEVELOP. Now, apart from Government, Muslims has the responsibility to develop themself, and don't depend fully depend on govt aid or reservations and think of alternatives ways.

If you want to point at any politicians like BJP or others for bad, I say there are few elements within doing it and no Indian has any pity for such elements.
Moreover, you people are not Muslims by everything but push much for nonexistence. From Sind to TN to Bengals the story is same. Even an Egyptian or Iranian is not what he says he is. But a Hindu is a Hindu and it is more than a religion.

You mindless dumb guy, Do you think India's 100 Crore population is because of unwanted reproduction of Muslims? Muslims were 13% in 1947 and still 13% in 2006, they grew at the same rate of India, if they had reproduced more than others, they'ld have been more than 25%. Now we know that in India, no political party is with muslims and now we can, with private funds develop our community.

I think you are blind to see grim in self. Even in the most developed world like Britain and US it is clear seen that (A major chunk of) Musloms dont join the main stream and because, the nations are facing unwanted hitches. Just catch the exact that the case is not with whole community but with a large piece of the community. The so-called chunk is of fundamentalists and psychic religious, and not the cosmos from the community who do well for the nation and them self.
Related to two-child policy in this over populated nation, the policy does not control Muslims (why?) and most still go for more than 3, 4 (crazy!)
Sachar is a tool of vote-eyed politicians. He is partially true with much licking for votes.
For simple understanding, SC/ST are in so state because they have been dumped by others for centuries whereas if a Muslim is in such a state he himself is reason for it. Ok!. You create problem for yourself and who to you want to help you? Come up and join the main stream.
