And the truth of Bankim's time was the xenophobia the intellectuals of the time felt. But, today when we recite "Vande Matram", we evaluate that in our era's truth. Otherwise, why do we rever "Jan-Gan-Man" which was written for the British Monarch's welcome and "Sare jahan se achha", which was written by a person(Iqbal) who advocated for partition and was the national poet of Pakistan.

There should be some tolerance for every thing. But people what to drink mothers milk and kick her Brest after becoming younger. Its senseless. Its not the matter of Hindu or Hindustan. Its matter of the country. Any of ur family member will kill another family member, by seeing can U laugh what? What will U do. Just think what people R doing. What they suppose to do? Hey live like an Indian. Not like a Pakistani. If U wants to be a Pakistani, Go there and open your voice. U has rights to fight for your things every where. At the same time dont kill some one freedom. Good luck. Every millisecond Jai Hind

N what do you want?? there r more Muslims, then??? Do you want a Muslim land for you??? If you are so much worried about your religin n its identity then why don't you leave India n go to your land of Muslims... pakistan....
Man, if you are staying in India , accept it as a country, do not impose your religion on every other Indian sayin g that this or that is not in your religion....
Be an Indian or leave India........ I guess we will be even more happy without you!!!!! We don't want people like you disturbing Indian's n Indian system with nonsense issues............

@ Yazed....the National Anthem is "Jana Gana.." and I have not heard any Muslim complain about singing it till now....... don't know what you are getting fired up about?? But tell you what Iftikhar is right about when he says that Hindustan is not for hindus, it's a "Secular" country where everyone is allowd to practice his/her religion freely and Vande Matram is not the National Anthem for everyone to sing it. Singing songs does not make you patriotic your actions, views and your respect for the nation and its people are the essentials in that regard.
@ sharminda......finally someone actually points out the correct fact!! Hats off to you!! :)
