Every era has its own truths

And the truth of Bankim's time was the xenophobia the intellectuals of the time felt. But, today when we recite "Vande Matram", we evaluate that in our era's truth. Otherwise, why do we rever "Jan-Gan-Man" which was written for the British Monarch's welcome and "Sare jahan se achha", which was written by a person(Iqbal) who advocated for partition and was the national poet of Pakistan.
