No Problem deal....?
by Ezhumalayan on Jul 16, 2008 02:16 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Why it took this long to explain the deal?? Is it because the Govt of India was forced by IAEA exposing the deal thru the web?? And now that the deal is explained, why the tearing hurry?

Let concerned people understand, let new governments come in India and USA and let them sign.

If only Manmohan and Bush can sign the deal, then there is something fishy about the deal! Either for India or for USA.

The tearing hurry to sign, lack of transparancy, blatant lies in Parliament, 7% of total power met by nuclear in 2020 all these make the deal stink.

Reason for hurry is obviously simple. So if you were not in tearing hurry to write and think, you would have got them. This will be a big mile stone for both Manmohan and Bush. Manmohan is already the architect of Economic liberalization, this would make him arcitect of Nuclear policy also. Read Mohanty's post below/

You could take ages to understand and talking to political parties and keep coming up with conspiracy theories and never get anything done and then cry about why there is so much inaction etc in India. Or you could let important people study the deal and go through which is what MM did. Why could Left get somebody to get oaths etc if they were so concerned?

Now there is a talk of 40000 MW by 2020 and 25% by 2050 so that is a big number. Sooner we start, sooner we will get there. Or we could keep on pondering in paralysed state and miss the bus yet again..
