If India reduces its population to 75% of its current population, its energy needs too will come down to 75% of its current needs. As an added bonus, many other problems in India will be solved. We will have surplus schools, colleges and hospitals. It will also solve reservation problem and corruption problem too.
To reduce population, follow ONE-CHILD policy.
If every family produces two children, the population will remain constant, because two children will be replaced by two children.
If every family produces only one child, the population will eventually come down to 50% of the current level, because two parents will be replaced by one child.
Currently, India’s population is growing. This is possible only if Indian families produce more than two children on an average.
India’s current population is 110 crores. Have a target of reducing India’s population to 75 crores by 2015 and to 50 crores by 2030. That will solve all problems of India.

But Ashok Singhal and Sudharshan are advising Hindus not to follow birth control. People in India are voting for BJP who follow the dictats of these two gentlemen. How to reduce population. Only a great natural clamity will help reduce the population.

Very Well Written, Please tell me if this can really be accomplished using Gandhian principles of ahinsa or do we need "stick and carrot" policy to achieve it. The current democratic set up coupled with vote bank policies of "please all" will not be able to achieve it. I personally feel that the central Govt should be replaced by the Army "Martial Law". Let the states only have democratic governments. Population control measures should be strictly under the control of the central govt then.

Yes we have already finalized the plan We are changing constitution to reflect it
1. For muslims not more than 20 kids 2. For STs not more than 15 kids 3. For OBCSs not more than 10 kids 4. For general caste nore more than 1 kid , producing more than one kid will be a criminal offence liable to upto seven years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50000/-
Keep voting our party, we will pass this as the first bill next session.
