This all boils down to individual freedom and individual responsibility
This actress has a right to wear whatever she wants. That is her individual freedom and no one can deprive her of that. Some of us may not agree with her choice. But we cannot stop her.
There are ways make yourself heard. Stop watching her films, write to her, stop supporting the products that she promotes, etc.
But to force her or to threaten her is harrassment and a crime.
Some are suggesting a "Dress Code". This is the level of insanity on this forum. Every adult has a right to wear whatever he/she pleases. I am a Muslim. My wife chooses to wear a headscarf. These are matters of personal freedom. We should not legislate these issues and force people. How are we any different than the Iranian Mullah ?
Same applies to opinions of writers or artwork of painters. As a Muslim, I do not agree with what Taslima write, but I respect her right to express her opinion. Same thing with MF Hussein. I believe his Nude painting of goddess was in bad taste. But I respect his right to do that. Same think with the cartoons of the Prophet (PBUH). I was offended. But that does not mean that the Danish should be deprived of his right.
We have become so intolerant. Its my way of the highway. No wonder we have so many fights and arguments in our communities over trivial matters
Lets realize something. We do not have to agree with an individual or his work in order to respect HIS/HER right to free speech

How does that matter ?
I am talking about a principle where people are viewed as individual, not based on religion, not based on caste, color or sexual orientation.
Read your response to my comment and think deep if it really adds any value to the topic of discussion.
Then we will blame the politicians that they have the wrong priorities and are wasting time fighting over "NonSense" issues. Are you not doing the same ?

Right. It doesn't matter.
But, onto your comments that one is free to choose one's own dressing has to be taken within limits. You'd appreciate that freedom always means within certain constraints - something like 'freedom of speech' doesn't mean one can talk 'whatever' one likes to.

Arun, Who decides those "Limits" ?
The Mullahs or the Hindu fanatics may propose something like a Burkha. Will you agree to that ?
Here is what you miss. There can be a DRESS code on private properties. If you are working for a private company, then they can mandate a dress code. It is their property. It is no different than you mandating things at your own home.
But when it comes to public property, you cannot legislate a dress code. If you try to do that, it will be severe on females. There will be different rules for men and woman. It has to be left to the individual to make good decisions.
If we legislate "Dress Codes" then we will have to enforce those rules. The Police will do that ? More corruption and bribery ?
What dress do you choose ? Some prefer Shalwar Khameez, some prefer a Saari. Some prefer a full sleve blouse some with half sleve...some tie the saari above the N@val, some below...There is too much variation to have a standard rule.
We must educate our families, our children and our relatives to make the right choices in life. We should not extend our authority over others.
So what the Iranians or the Saudi or the Taliban did w.r.t. dresscode was correct ?

Please don't generalise...a bunch of idiotic politicians does not make the entire bunch of tamilian. I am sure there are such idiots in you part of the community as well. statements like these are unwarrented. How did we indians react to Shilpa-Richard kissing uh...thinking about that..so how will we react when somebody says all the indians are crazy..think b4 you say something.

Better give them a separate country, but all our nuclear power plants are in tamil nadu only, so we have to think.
