I feel these problems happen when a job seeker is greedy for money from day one and wants to be treated like a Chairman from start. A better way to have a fulfilling professional career is not to feel glamourised by big brand names, but to start off in a small company where it's easier to prove your abilities and get noticed, and then move to a bigger company on grounds of experience. A lot of famous CEOs started out as door-to-door marketeers because it's one of the best ways to understand and conquer human psychology. Moral: It doesn't matter how high the mountain is - everybody starts at the bottom.

I have to agree with you. The chances of making to the top just on basis of hard work and time bound promotions is just about zero. One has to get wide market understanding in a small company and then move to a large one.
