This guy did not waste IIM seat... in fact he graduated with prestigious MBA in true sense.
This is what IIMs should encourage: ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
Every successful entrepreneur brings about benefits not only for himself/herself but for the municipality, region or country as a whole.
The combination of historical factors including the caste system, British occupation, cultural values, and government regulations- have limited innovative entrepreneurship in India.
India Inc is still keen only on services (being coolie).
Hats off to Kaushalendra for thinking out of the box.

There is no cheap publicity it is costing him 50lakh. He has advantage over others ask a non degree holder and non visionary to try secure a loan of 50lakh. Perhaps you could try to do so,I bet you will not get a anna in loan from any one. Mr Kaushalendra must have a very good buissness plan that the loan provider has agreed to back him up. As for innocent farmers, that is there problem if they can't see it coming. Farmers grow and V buys the product and sell and why not.

I think you are not aware of what is happening in Bihar because you are not a Bihari. Bihar is witnessing development of Bihari sub-nationalism, which was never there in Biharis. Biharis had just nationalism. But now they are beginning to awaken. Bihar has witnessed caste wars in last many decades to kill the roots of feudalism in the society. Now Biharis, specially the youngsters, have begin to understand the socio-political condition prevailing in India and the importance of sub-nationalism. The driving force behind people like Kaushalendra is this sub-nationalism and not any free loans. There are thousands and lakhs of Kaushalendra, looking to take part in the economic and social reconstruction of Bihar and make it as used to be in the past.
