Just to be No.1 TCS has recruited 35% more employees than what it can handle. I dont think it is a good idea to post these types of news by Rediff. If there is problem in company planning and policies, and because of that it is cutting down salaries, that does not mean IT industry is going down. Looks like, Rediff is getting paid to make an enviornment and prepare IT consultants to expect salary cuts, so that IT companies can book more profit. Please dont do this and let the core people who are back bone of IT industry get paid what they deserve.

People need more money in less efforts. In IT INDUSTRY evey one is focussing on more package, more bargain . They spend more time on looking for change rather then in research and good work. I feel you also belong to suh category, extremely sorry to say this but its a fact.

Deepak the fact is in so IT industry if one expect a legitimate increase in its pay the reason behind is the hard work put in and the Quality work produce. Salary Cut is another game nowadays started with word Cost reduction. May be this will help everyone know the motive irrelevant motive hidden within..
