Pride in one's country
by Diptesh Shah on Feb 14, 2007 05:09 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

No matter what, it is imperative to be proud of our country. If you have this basic ingredient, you would yourself be propelled to do something for the country and therefore for fellow citizens. It is extremely easy to blame & point at shortcomings - even the most developed countries have them ! Singapore is regarded as a "police state", US is often accused of being totally immoral in values & self centred in attitude. The difference in in the type of negation. Yes, we may have "miles to go" ... bit what is important are we going ?

Have pride first...you'll find the rest easy

Dear Mr Shah...Singapore is not regarded as a poice state, strict fines are there so that people remain in discipline..You know Delhi Metro daily spend 4 hours just to clean up the chewing gum on the doors..There gum is banned on stations, isn't it right...Here jumping a traffic light cost only Rs 100/-..so no one cares, there it's cool $100..so they care..that's discipline...
