Shame on all of us who tried to divide India into North and south.I am from North,but that doesn't mean I have disrespect for south. I have a lot of friends from South, who are very cultured and highly educated. Politicians from north are more worse. See what CMs like Chandra Babu has done for IT folks. Unless we stop this North-south divide we cannot come up. Think and live like Indians rather guys.

The problem is that it is not possible not to have a divide between North and South. Why only North and South, there is a divide between North and East also. Everywhere there is a divide based on state. You know why? Because every state is different, with a different background and culture. Aryans and Dravidians cannot be the same. A bird and a fish cannot live together even if you try to make them ... nature does not allow that. India is not like the US. In the US everything looks and feels the same. The roads and shops in California are the same as in Texas and New York. Texas and California both pride themselves in belonging to the USA and not as Texas and California only. But in India a Bengali speaks ill of a Tamilian, a Tamilian speans ill of a Punjabi. A Bengali supports Ganguly, a Kannadiga supports Dravid. A Tamilian will never speak in Hindi, a Marathi will call a a Tamilian as 'South Indian'. We just cannot be 'one' my friends, being different is in our blood, in our background and culture. The only thing that we can do is tolerate each other and live like adults, not fight like children.

You are exactly right friend, Injun. We are united together with different cultural and civilizational backgrounds. So we need more tolerance in managing the daily affairs, rather blaming each other

With full respect to what you said. I am in Canada as of now,as you may be aware it is a country of immigrants. There is hundred times more diverse then India is, still people live and tolerate each other.It is that we claim to have the best culture, but we fail to practice it. May be our Parents did and do, but not us. In one of the companies I worked, they had only 100 employees and they were from 20 different countries, different color, Language, culture. India is not as diverse as this is. I believe we should be much more tolerant of each other. We are losing our culture,others are improving on our cultural aspects,not US.

Its not tolerane that keeps them together in Canada. Its DEMOCRACY. Only rule of law can force a White/Black/Brown/Yellow to work together for a common cause which is profit for all...

Yes.Brother literate people in ur place follow people like balthackerey,Advani,Modi,uma bharathi,who can can demolish workshiping places,create communal riots.And the Mulayams,Mayawathis who play with casteism sentiments.I think ur happy with all these u have.
