My dear friends, Nilekani is a technologist than a manager who prefers to bat not to lead. I would equate him with Tendulkar in Cricket, where he performed better while a player than a captain. See the growth of Infosys in the coming years under the great grand leadership of Nilekani.

Vow, Equate Nilenkani with Tendulkar. I say, Nilenkani has taken right decision and taken a step further. Tendulkar should do the same and retire from one day cricket.

Even though Infosys is a public limited company, it appears to be governed by a partnership of 6 persons. They have the privilege to designate themselves in whichever way they like. Case in point is how easily a CFO became HR Chief and then CEO.
If there is a break, there is nothing wrong. It may give birth to more infies. When the infamous Phaneesh had to quit, IGATE was born. Let us welcome the break of the super six. India needs more infies to take care of the ever growing unemployment numbers.
