I applied for a Silver Card from SBI. Instead they send me Gold. 1. Before using the card, I need to activate as they have mentioned, which I have not done so far. 2. Next month I got the statement with charges for insurance. I called the call centre and told the issue. No response. 3. On 2nd month, they send me statement with penalty of not paying the amount.
This time I got irritated and called the SBI call centre and informed the issue and replied neatly that I will not pay and if they make any such issues, I will inform to RBI and take it to court.

But the said bank might have put your name in the "defaulters list" and might even send the name to the national registry (of "defaulters") and you may denied, in the future, any types of loans by any of the banks! All this would happen automatically, as these things are automated by most of the banks. So, much for getting an usolicited credit card and for not paying for it!
