Reducing weight of Brinda
by Dr. K L Rana on Oct 31, 2006 07:10 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

There are so may ways to reduce weight.

1. Excercise or Yoga
2. Food habits
3. Medicine which does not have any side effect.

All recommed all these above. As far as medicine is concerned, we prescribe Homoeopathy remedies, which are free from side effect.

In this we can reduce weight 10 - 12 kg in three month period safely.

We teach yoga for ten days at our clinic, plus give medicine (Homoeopathy or Bio-chemicals)which ever is suiting to the temperament.

Pactice breathing exercise (pranayamas), inhale and exhale and kapalbhati, daily 30mins , will be enough to loose/gain your weight. You will get enormous energy to work weithout any tension and will be happy most of the time while at work. On holidyas do it for 1-2 hrs.

It's not true that women are asked to eat a lot after delivery. In fact traditionally, at least in south India, women are not given rice at all the first few days but a kind of porridge called "ganji", and then gradually the intake is increased. Breast feeding correctly requires that the woman should have a lot of proteins in her diet, and the regular body massage and oil baths would keep the weight under control/ Of course the main thing is that we should start walking even in the hospital itself, even if it is in the corridor at least.Be active within reasonable limits once you return home, and as one reader has said, once the baby starts crawling, there's enough running around for us to do.

No medicines can cause weight loss, unless they are causing loss of appetite. That is unhealthy in a long run.
