Balanced argument
by Calvin Corser on Jan 09, 2008 05:44 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

If you want to read a fairly balanced arguement from the Indian perspective, read Sambit Bal's article on Cricinfo called "Questions from Sydney". It doesn't reallly go into the way Indians Board have respinded, but that's another issue.

If this were the type of words coming from India, we would all be on your side.

calvin - Rediff is NOT the voice of India, please remember that!!
Your point is very much valid and i resepect your arument[s]/comment[s], however, it is time for both parties [aussies and indians] to show their honesty/talent/respect on the ground!!
We all wasted lots of energy and time on this issue which has no ending ....other than just play good cricket!!

Ther is no sarcasm in my response mate! it's high time we play and enjoy the sport!

oh well, there's a bunch who think it is :) thats ok. however much we try and thrash it out here, things are different on the field. rediff boards are sometimes crazy with a lot of emotions. unfortunately, a lot of aussies i see and opine here think india is pretty much like effigy burning, message board spamming ones. well, good for them if they cant understand a complex country, cos it does not make a difference. for better or for worse, india's pretty slow to change in a lot of things, and we still have a lot of teething problems. anyways, im tired of speding time on these boards too. any constructive argument is met with single pointed propaganda. all the very best :)

Raj..
i am with you!
bottomline for us is to prove it on the ground!
i sincerely hope our team delivers it! that's all i can ask/pray for!!
Rest is on umpiring:) err..as someone said, you have three people to beat - yourself, your opponent, and the Ref!! This applies in majority of the sports.....howover, we should be good enough to beat even a ref!!

chalo, all is well that ends well!! PEACE TO ALL

I'm with you both on that one....

Even if I think you're a bit too much of a conspiracy theorist, you seem like you've got a level head on your shoulders Raj.

Cheers guys.

Bring on Perth.....
