We can very well celebrate the Indian Team's success in T20 competition. But certainly not in this way. This can literally demoralise other sports persons and in real sense Indian Army as well.
India emerged triumphat in the recently finished Asian hockey championship, but Government did nothing for the players. and today Yusuf Pathan, for the 15 runs he scored in the final is given a monetary reward of Rs.11 lakhs!... That says it all.
How about the Army jawans and officials who lost their limbs in Kargil war and are struggling for their livelihood. They are yet to get compensation from the Government.
What kind of a state India is in? The Government failed to prioritise the things correctly and puts cricket ahead of Indian Army. This can seriously damage the morale of many real heroes of our country.
Country men, give a serious thought and oppose this ostentatious usage of public funds by the Government....
It is worth remembering that if Real Heroes(Army) fail, none in India can either play cricket nor watch it!

Well..you don't go and attack a soldier's home when he returns defeated from war... do you?? You don't burn effigies of soldiers who are defeated either....but you do attack Dhoni's house when he performs poorly.... and you burn effigies of Tendulkar when he gets out cheaply....If you think Cricket is just a game then why do we do all these?? Why do we abuse our team and Chappell when he come back empty handed from World Cup Cricket...why do we talk about taking away their endrosements when India loose matches...well...if we do all that then we might as well celebrate their WIN don't you think???
About other sports....How many of you have gone to watch a Hockey match till date?? Isn't it a national sport?? Who has made cricket so big?? why do you bet your money in cricket?? How does BCCI become the richest board in the world..not thru Sharad's pawar's pocket...right??

I totally agree with you. I agree winning the world cup is a big thing but giving away so much prize money to these guys is stupid. When India won the Asia Cup nobody even cared from their states. Sreesanth took a important catch and he is getting endorsement deals. I am hearing things like remove players like sourav, sachin and dravid to groom the youngsters and when these same youngsters won't perform upto the public expectations their homes will be stoned. No doubt we need youngsters but we need to groom them step by step. Agarkar didn't play the mathces but he gets 10 lakh rupees from the state. What about the hockey team. Anyways all said and done, Well Done India and Hats of to Yuvraj Singh who was just amazing...
