NDTV coverage - how much more biased can it get?
by mrc on Sep 18, 2007 07:27 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Watching the NDTV coverage yesterday, I was amazed that a convicted criminal (sidhu), a convicted fraud (match-fix Jadeja), an anchor who has no notion of balancing a debate was passing judgement on Rahu Dravid and campaigning for Ganguly.

Sidhu and the weird anchor called Dravid a 'quitter'. The most important measurement for a cricketer - the one universally accepted - is his performance away from home. Dravid has the best (bar none) performance on all types of wickets against all types of bowling. He already averages around 60 more than any regular No. 3 batsman in the game's history, barring Don Bradman. For the last decade, he has been India's most consistent bat and every opponent targets Dravid's wickets than any other Indian b atsman.

It is a joke and it is also a reflection of the crude and biased society that we live in wherein a debate does not have two sides and convicted felons sit in judgement of the toughest cricketer that India has ever produced.

One final joke: Saw Surinder Khanna (remember him - played a bit part in a sharjah ODI) grit his teeth, tighten his face and indulge in verbal diarrhea.

When a news channel shows obvious bias, the public will wise up and I really hope that NDTV gets run to the ground by the likes of CNN-IBN.

Sidhu is under trial for Homicide. He ran away from England tour. Now talking big. Son of High level Punjab Police officer thinks that people do not know this. And That Jadeja the match fixing accused. Both are on payrolls of NDTV. NDTV belongs to Pranoy Roy whose wife is Radhika Karat. Sister of CPM chief Prakash Karat's wife. Gangult campaigned for Bengal elections for CPM so that is the Fix up there.

Sidhu & 'mathch-fixer' Jadeja have been banned on the other channels, since NDTV with their budget couldn't get hold of better host's, they had to settle for them. "Match-fixer"
Jadeja has a stake in Ganguly's ventures in Kolkota & actively campaigns for him & has a one-point agenda of Dravid bashing. S O B doesn't even figure in India's 1000 best all time players & will be remembered for his dubious credentials of match fixing. The less said about the murderer Sidhu, the better, jerk is always farting loud & gets on everybody's nerve. Its NDTV's utter bankruptcy to have hired such goons to host their show, pity them !

Sidhu is not facing trial for homicide... it was a road accident... a homicide charge would have to establish a MOTIVE for murder.

Sidhu says if over scuffle if I hit out of anger he died I did not intended that in show with Rajat Sharma. But then why he drov away leaving that old man in pains... His family is asking for justice... This is crime and he is criminal....period.

It is well known NDTV is headed by a Bengali. And all the so called cricketing talk is concentrating on promoting a Bongo-Ganguly. In every cricketing talk on NDTV Ganguly will be the centre character and others like Dravid Sachin Laxman Kumble will be villains. NDTV is a big shame on journalism
