ausssie cricket

The timing of the tour was wrong. They have been playing continuously since England visited . England were thrashed in both formats of the game. Too much cricket results in loss of form. Remember the aussie team were not thrashed by the Kiwis, barring one match. Scoring over 300 by the second string Australian is no mean achievement. World cup is a different ball game altogether. Cant underestimate the aussie grit

There is a saying "Practice makes perfect" which practically applies to all things. It would be to say that the timing of the tour was wrong. For all that matters, Aussies did get new players to play and see their performance which they could not have seen otherwise. But the basic underlying factor, is the pitches they played on. Technical brillance was sadly missing. All one say was slogging on true pitches which is comparatively easier than on pitches where the ball does not come onto the bat or low bounce/mixed surface, where technical perfection is necessary to perform on these pitches. Let us see the Aussies or for that matter the kiwis do the slogging on West Indian pitches. If continue slogging in the same vein and post scored of more than 300 consistently, my hats off to them!!! I can safely say that we are overestimating the Aussie grit!!!

i dont agree. the players not playing at this time are ponting, gilly, symonds,mc grath and lee. among these three are batsmen.without these three the australians have put a large total on the scoreboard. every questionmark comes on their bowlers.lee is injured ok. but mcgrath has played the last 1 day and hasn't performed to his fame givind 70 odd runs without conceding a single wicket.and these other bowlers, which according 2 u r 2nd grade, are they not going to bowl in the world cup? are they not the members of that squad? then how can u underestimate the effort by the kiwis.well on any sort of pitch or ground ,chasing 347 can never be an easy task after loosing 4 wickets for 40 odd rons in the first 10 overs. hats off to their performance.
