The timing of the tour was wrong. They have been playing continuously since England visited . England were thrashed in both formats of the game. Too much cricket results in loss of form. Remember the aussie team were not thrashed by the Kiwis, barring one match. Scoring over 300 by the second string Australian is no mean achievement. World cup is a different ball game altogether.
