Everyone will agree that Maharashtra is still one of the most cosmopolitan states in the country. It was openness of these marathis that let it happen. Now, one needs to seriuosly see what went wrong then. It was, acoording to me, the intentional efforts of North indians to overpower the locals under the name of Chhat Puja. If they would continue to co-exist, there wouldn't be any issue. It's a power game, as everyone is saying. And silencing Raj is not going to solve the issue. The issue is really serious as every Mumbaikar knows it. It's time that there should be some guidlines / code ( not law ) to address this issue in real sense to avoid such incidences in future. Because survival and prosperity of Mumbai is critical for India's future.
