We are equally to be blamed, if we live in fear. The need of the hour, is “unity”. As idealistic as this sounds, there is nothing better to combat the power of terrorism, except the power of us. What can beat their immense motivation to destroy the nation, or any part of the world for that matter, is plainly and simply, the power of “us”. And again, clichéd as it may sound, but “united we stand divided we fall”. We are still in majority, and further still in minority. What we need to talk about, is not the morals. Certainly, dying morals is an issue, but there is no point trying to get across to those souls who have a dead conscience. For those of us who can see in hear, its time to come together. We need to stop addressing them, and start addressing our selves. Lets start with small initiatives : like not turning a blind eye to any injustice that we see in a our day to day lives ; by not being tempted to take or give bribes for insincerity is betrayal in its own way, by helping when even strangers are in need ; by abiding by law; by following civic rules.The university has us checked each day now, from i-cards to bags , and vehicles are parked at a distance from the main buildings. The least we can do is to vow to keep up the discipline. Yesterday, the watchman refused to check the i-cards saying he “dint have orders from higher authorities”; in these trying times he is still waiting for “orders” and “grumbling” that he has to stand there checking each student; Let’s vow to
