RE:RE:Refusal to draw inspiration from Hinduism
by Devavrata Satya on Aug 03, 2008 12:32 PM

Mr. Tamil natan,

Just because your great saint Swami Ramasamy Naicker talked nonsense about Ram being an Aryan and Ravana being a Dravidian, why would that mean that Ram is a foreigner in Tamil Nadu?

Would you consider any north Indian who comes to Tamil Nadu a foreigner? I did not know when you guys have declared independance.

What the great EVR failed to note, perhaps deliberately, that Ravana was in fact an Aryan, well-versed in all scriptures, and that Ram has been described as dark-skinned. He seemed to have known that there would be enough gullible fools among Tamils to fall for his lies, and think of themselves - Dravidians - as separate from, and superior to, the "barbaric Aryan" North Indians. It appears that he was not too wrong.
