When did we last hear One of India's greatest social reformer Raja Ram Mohan Roy? He is now relegated to irrelevance!!Do you know why? Because you can never explain-Raja Ram Mohan without the impact Islam left on him. Today Madarassa's are accused of promoting backwardness,but this prodigial son of a Brahmn father studied in this so called Madarrsa in Patna and learnt Arabic so much so that he later wrote a book called Tuhfat-ul-Muwahhidin (Gifts of Monotheism) -in Arabic in which he preached unity of God.
