The Problem is not Ram The CPM could have brought down Congress Government with Nuclear Issue. Congress diverted this by filing affidavit for Ram Sethu Project. It is simple when major development decisions such as Nuclear deal hits roadblock due to oppoition then create a religious problem. In India Sethu has more media coverage than Nuclear deal. Prakash Karat was getting a lot of media attention which could increase their popularity. Since Congress wanted to pass Nuclear deal and did not want CPMs popularity to increase the best decision was to divert media attention to religion. The other reason is DMK wants to increase cargo traffic to eastern ports of Tamil Nadu which has investments in vicinity by Kalanidhi family. Religion is a great tool to fool the people of India.
