India's 1-2 children policy and Laws of Probability
by Senthil Kumar on Mar 15, 2007 10:43 PM

In the previous generations parents on average
had 7-8 children if not more.

The probability of at least one of those 8
children showing love towards parents was high
at old age in comparison to a modern family.

with 1-2 children, and with girl children
moving out, laws of probability sure doesn't
seem to be in favor of old parents.
