>>> India can only resolve its disputes with Pakistan when there is a democratic government in Islamabad. If Musharraf signs any deal with India in the coming days, the next government will not honour that deal.
Mr Hamid Mir,
If I remember correctly :-) both zulfiqar bhutto and nawaz sharif were democratically elected, werent they ?
Ahh the sweet smell of irony... I just love it :)
Fact is that in Pakistan, even if free and fair elections are held, the people will vote for some radicals (like Nawaz Sharif and his Shariat bills :) )
Fact is, even the succeeding democratically elected govt will not honour that deal :-)
Sometimes, its just strange.. how much you hate us kaafirs.. that you spend most of your money in anti-India activities (eg Kashmir, Punjab) rather than trying to improve your industrial and agri base, so both countries benefit.
And please, dont talk about human rights, ethics, and lack of secularism, etc in India (or the comments here, which are much more mellow compared to what you would find in Pakistani forums). It reminds me of - pot calling the kettle black.
Regarding, Bhagwan Rana, this is an exception to the rule, isnt it?
