It's always misinterpretation that is dangerous
by Prashanth HL on Feb 16, 2007 04:27 PM

It's always the misinterpretation of any preachings that is dangerous to the world rather than following someone's preachings. The word 'Jehad' was supposed to mean the fighting of evil thoughts in the mind rather than the meaning that we attribute to it today.
Whatever was the kind of person Aurangzeb was, what we do not need is violence based on religion.
I must say the political scene in the world has contributed in the same measure as a fanatic hardliner holding an important religious status preaching to kill the non-believers.
I don't know what it takes to restore sanity and harmony!
