Budget: Do FM and PM have a free hand
by Rajesh Vyas on Feb 25, 2008 11:20 AM

The lefitsts will make sure that the PM and FM will not be able to take progressive steps to propel the economy at even a faster rate.

As long as the shackles are on,the FM and PM will be constrained to take bold steps.

Another important issue is--Do they have the will to take bold steps.

Chidambaram does not have the frredom enjoyed by Manmohan under P V Narasimha Rao. He was by far the best PM we had in the sixty years of independence. He assured that Punjab remained a part of India. Unfortunately, he did not know how to blow his own trumpet and made way for Sonia Gandhi toe at from a ready platter.
