RE:Why not this?
by Tim on Aug 25, 2007 01:13 AM

One more example. Let us say you go to purchace cloths for Diwali. You go to a store, check the quality, price and the designs and if you don;t like if the you go to another store and check it up.

Probably the first store you went could not get a good quality product or any other reason. That does not mean that the better store where you purchased should be shut down as he is taking the business of the first store.

One more example.

I lived in a town where there were no automobile repair shop for about 5 kilometers. There used to be a guy who used to sit in the road and earn his money by doing small things like fixing flat tires etc.

Then suddenly one day someone saw this and opened a small automobile repair shop. So this guy who was sitting on the road has to go to another place as he could not compete with the shop opened.

So does it mean that we should not have allowed the automobile repair shop guy to open his shop as he ruined the guy sitting on the road?

Everything works like that. Now this guy went to another part of town where there are no shops. Now all of a sudden the town became a big developing city and then a lot of shops came, more choices to the customer, etc.

So there is nothing like Enough competition. It is relative and we cannot just blindly go about saying this loose words.
