The job opportunities in US are much better if you get a degree from the US. In Masters, you would be working on a specialized topic. So your opportunities for specialized research and development based work increases. Experience helps, but it is my understanding that people with higher education degrees gets the challenging projects (super achievers are exceptional, with or without a degree).
