Kumble vs SL
by JM on Mar 29, 2007 05:28 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kumble does not have a good record against SL.
But Mongia brings a good point as to why were Sreesanth, Pathan and Kumble did not get enough chances, especially when bowlers like Agarkar failed in previous games?!

more mongia
by abhay singh baghel on Mar 29, 2007 05:08 AM  Permalink

Nayan Ramlal Mongia pronunciation (help·info) (born December 19, 1969 in Vadodara) was an Indian cricketer, active from 1994 to 2004, when he retired. He was a right-handed batsman and a wicketkeeper.

When he first toured England in 1990, he impressed Alan Knott, who claimed Mongia was a natural. Having spent many years as India's second wicketkeeper after Kiran More, Mongia first made it into the team in the mid-90s and was from then on the number one choice for wicketkeeper.

Mongia also was a batsman and has a Test high batting score of 152. Mongia's was dropped from the team after dissent and allegations of match-fixing.[1] Mongia was interrogated by the Central Bureau of Investigation in relation to his involvement in the match-fixing scandal

Kumble should be thankful to selectors
by Seraphic Deviltry on Mar 29, 2007 05:06 AM  Permalink

Kumble should be thankful to the selectors for not letting him play. We all know that everybody is junk in this team. He should be happy that he is not in the morphed images which are being sent around in the mails as attachemtns.

Betting master and match fixer Nayan Mangia speaks out !

Kumble should never think to play ODI from the day he got highest DOSE from Sayed Anwar whose
ODI score (194) is still the highest individual score in ODI.

Coach
by nambiyappa arunachalam on Mar 29, 2007 03:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You need a coach who is smart. He doesn't need to know the history of Indian cricket and all the baggage that comes along with that. He needs to be able to find flaws in our system and fix them. He needs to motivate the players and make them winners. None of our past great players fall in that category. If I need to choose someone who hasn't played much cricket but knows how to solve problems, I'd pick him.

SHAME ON REDIFF
by Amit Chakraborty on Mar 29, 2007 03:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I fee sick when I read the cricket column in Rediff. It's selection of "experts" who they get interviews from is simply pathetic. And more disgusting is the way they represnt their guests. Take the case of Nayan Mongia. How can Harish Pandya even consider him as a potential coach for Indian team. What is his status? It seems Rediff only publishes interviews from people who has not called for the sacking of Dravid and Chappel, no matter whatever their status is or how much cricket they have played. SHAME ON REDIFF, SHAME ON ITS REPORTER HARISH PANDYA. I THINK HARISH SHOULD GO TO HIMALAYAS AND TAKE SANYAS FROM THE MATERIAL WORLD.
