Worst Performance
by bob c on Mar 26, 2007 05:00 PM  Permalink

Rahul Dravid is the worst captain India ever had. His body language was simply horrible. He should be ashamed of himself and should give the resignation but he is not doing that. It shows how mean he is. He used to be great human being and character but now he has changed lot.

Now he is behaving like Ganguly when Dalmiya was BCCI president. I think instead of participating in message board please stop following the cricket itself.

We the poor people are following the cricket and we are the people who are making cricketers to earn money. Sachin has earned tons and billions of rupees just because of us and what we are getting have you ever thought of this?

I dont expact any changes will happen in this team, Mr Sharad Pawar will give some statements as always.. "its a disappointment every player is disappointed in the Team, they are great player will come back in form soon so plz have faith on them they will sure success in coming Series in Bangladesh i can promise u a good performance in Bangladesh". & will drop some one who did not play in World Cup like Pathan or Karthik or may be Munaf or Srisanth. Thats it.

Its good we lost
by ganesh on Mar 26, 2007 04:56 PM  Permalink

India crashing out of world cup will do a lot for sports in India.

Our overweight, overhyped and unfit cricketers and incompetent administrators would have now learnt a lesson which they will not forget in their lifetime. Media / sponsors will loose interest in Cricket which will be very good. These guys will now be paid (hopefully)according to their abilities, this will make them work harder.

Also our cricket crazy nation will get time to take notice of exceptional achievers like Vishy Anand. He became world number one and this got completely unnoticed by our media and people.

Such a pity :(

Withdraw the Indian cricket team altogether
by Sunderam Aiyer on Mar 26, 2007 04:43 PM  Permalink

Indian players cannot of course take a leaf out of the Bangladesh Players, since they are supposedly "vastly experienced" side. But it is seen of late that this vast experience did not serve any good during the cruch time. Bangladesh players on the other side had nothing to lose and played like they have nothing to lose and gave it their all. This is one attitude Indian team should adopt. But since this "vastly experienced" side of ours does not stoop to such levels as taking example of Bangladesh team, the entire team should be relegated to the benches and our "Under-19 side" should be incorporated with full honors. They should be the eleven playing in the tests, One dayers etc. This young and energetic team is the one India requires for the immediate future. Before the player is accepted he should sign a contract that for two or four years, he is just to play cricket and not do any advertisements of any sort. This should help our players focus on their task. Also "pay as per your performance" should be introduced. This will enable healthy competition within the ranks and only the good players will come to the team. If Mr. Sharad Pawar should take some lessons, please listen to all the people who are taking their time out and contributing to this Discussion Board!!!

Cricket in India
by Raam on Mar 26, 2007 04:42 PM  Permalink

Our Board has a President and Vice President - Sharad Pawar and Rajiv Shukla who are only fond of travelling with Teams abrad to enjoy the hospitality of host countries. They may not be aware of the size of cricket ball and bat. With this kind of administartion we have, I very much doubt no change in the team or stretegy will help India to improve cricket. Only former cricketers if they unite and stand against BCCI, the game of Cricket will survive or else let us bid adieu and pay homage to cricket in India
