Sitaram Dabholkar, I fully agree to this.One interesting thing to know is that we really love our neigbours.Coz every time there used to be a knock between Indo-Pak. Co-incidently this time Pakies are out and we are on the way of getting out.So it realy justifies the " Love towards Neigbours"
Pakistan out of World cup and India looking no good to make it, May be they can now play each other at some other part of the world. Plenty of spare time for these cricketers.
India Vs Pakistan? India is surely not making it to the super 8s....and if Ireland continue to do what they have done so far, Pakistan is not making it either.
I feel the itinary for this World cup has been fixed in a way wherein each top playing team will play each other in atleast once (barrig a shock degeat of any of the top 8 teams). And moreover how does the writer concludes that Pakistan will top its pool and India will come second. Come on man we will top the World, forget about the pool.

It doen't matter...who come first or who come second in the group..
For your knowledge, even if Pakistan comes second in the group it will be treated as D1 regardless of points table...top two teams in the group will qulify for the next stage.
For exp. if SCOTLAND qualify for the next stage instead of Pakistan it will be treated as D1 regardless of wether its points are lesser then WI or not..ok.
this is directed at the author, and at vasu (who has posted a message further explaining the ICC's fundae)
purely hypothetical situation: india wins all 3 group games... bangla upset sri lanka and so finish 2nd in the grp...
going by vasu's explanantion, bangla will be B1 and india will remain B2 - but that doesn't make sense! from what i understand, amongst the two teams that qualify, the higher seeded team will be B1 and the other team will be B2!
so india, havin a higher seeding than bangla should be B1, and bangladesh B2... and thereby upsetting the ICC's best laid plans!!!!!!

Well the fundae is that once the B1, B2 business is frozen, they will not be revisited. And hence, in your case, even though Bangladesh is lower than India in ICC ratings, still India will be B2 due to the sheer fact that Bangladesh replaces Sri Lanka in Super 8 from Group B and will also take on their rating as predecided

It doen't matter who come first or who comes second because ultimately all the teams in the super 8 has to play with each other exept with the team with which they played in first round(which qualify with it from first round exp. India will not play with Srilanka in super 8).... For your knowledge, even if Srilanka comes second in the group it will be treated as B1 regardless of points table...top two teams in the group will qulify for the next stage.

arrey yaar.....even if india beat srilanka they will be B2...but the fact is when going to the super 8 they will carry 2 points which srilanka wont even though they qualify as B1.....so its important to win the group matches also....
