this is directed at the author, and at vasu (who has posted a message further explaining the ICC's fundae)
purely hypothetical situation: india wins all 3 group games... bangla upset sri lanka and so finish 2nd in the grp...
going by vasu's explanantion, bangla will be B1 and india will remain B2 - but that doesn't make sense! from what i understand, amongst the two teams that qualify, the higher seeded team will be B1 and the other team will be B2!
so india, havin a higher seeding than bangla should be B1, and bangladesh B2... and thereby upsetting the ICC's best laid plans!!!!!!
